John De Lancie
John De Lancie played Beka Valentine's Uncle Sid in the episode 'The Pearls That Were His Eyes'.

Mr. De Lancie is most well-known for his portrayal of the omnipotent Q in Star Trek.  He has also appeared in an episode of 'Touched By An Angel' as a farmer who sues God.

Acclaimed and popular actor John de Lancie will make the leap from Star Trek to Gene Roddenberry's newest creation when he puts in an appearance on Andromeda in season one.

Mr. de Lancie is well-known to fans for his witty portrayal of omnipotent alien trickster Q on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager. His non sci-fi work includes The West Wing, Fearless and The Hand That Rocks the Cradle but he steps into an entirely different role in "The Pearls That Were His Eyes."

In this episode, currently shooting in Vancouver, Mr. de Lancie plays the enigmatic Uncle Sid, a wheeling-dealing interstellar trader and old family friend of Andromeda's second in command Beka Valentine (Lisa Ryder). Uncle Sid comes back into Beka's life bearing disturbing news about his former business partner -- Beka's father.
